VANCOUVER, B.C. (July 26, 2008) - Soo Bin Kim of Port Coquitlam put together two stellar rounds to take home the gold at the 2008 BC Summer Games in Kelowna. Kim, the only girl to fire both rounds under par carded a total 12 birdies to finish at 11-under 135, just one shot ahead of second-place finisher Christine Wong of Richmond. Wong, was the early leader after posting a bogey free nine-under par 64 on day one to set the course record at the Kelowna Golf & Country Club. Lauren Taylor of Nelson and Anica Yoo of Port Coquitlam tied for third at two-over 148 and took home bronze medals. In the boys' division, gold medals were awarded to Dallas Pepper of Vernon and Yohann Vora of the Zone 4 BCGA Player's Club for a first place tie at one-over 145. Michael Belle of Burnaby finished alone in third and claimed bronze at four-over 148.
