Junior golf tour coming to CastlegarMay 21, 2008
The 2008 Junior Golf Circuit has teed off and will stop at the Castlegar Golf Club on May 31. The Junior circuit is open to players under the age of 19, those aged 13-18 play 18 holes while the kids under the age of 13 play nine holes. Those playing a full round will require an index card, which is available at the pro shop, and should have a handicap of 27 or less. All those interested in taking part in the Castlegar tournament are asked to register before 4 p.m. on Thursday, May 29, by calling the pro shop or signing up at the tournament being held in Nakusp on May 24. Tee times are 12 p.m. for those playing 18 holes and the younger golfers teeing off after the last 18 hole group, it costs $15 for 18 holes and $10 for nine. Those playing 18 holes are asked to be at the course and paid by 11 a.m. The younger kids should be at the course and paid for by 12:30 p.m. Those new to the circuit are required to sign a player registration certificate an agreement prior to playing. This will be available at the course and abide by the British Columbia Golf Association’s Player Code of Conduct and the RCGA rules.
