Canadian Ismaili Games May 2-5, 2008 The Canadian Ismaili Games, being held in Vancouver from May 2-5, 2008, will bring together teams and individuals from across the country in a unique showcase of the top Ismaili athletes in the country. As part of this exciting weekend, 76 Ismaili Golfers will have an opportunity to compete in the first ever national Ismaili golf tournament. The top 6 men and women finishers will qualify to represent Canada at the Golden Jubilee Games in Kenya from June 23-30, 2008. The men's tournament will consist of 64 golfers. The women's tournament will consist of 12 golfers. Each golfer will play on Saturday May 3rd and Sunday May 4th. The top 40 men and 8 women based on cumulative gross score in the first two rounds will advance to the Championship round on Monday May 5th. The tournament will be played at the Northview Golf and Country Club. Northview is the proud home of the most exciting and challenging golf courses in British Columbia. Designed by Arnold Palmer, the layout reflects his dashing "go for broke" style tempered by his true respect for the game. The Canadian Ismaili Games tournament will be played on the links style Canal Course.
